Murphy helps to declutter from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

As much as it was nice to be away and sew with friends, it's nice to be home and get back into the routine!

The Zooms went well, and there was lots of great show-and-tell, some of which I'll share later this week. Then, it was back to cleaning up the stuff.

I still had all this that needed to be put away. Again, it was slow and methodical. It's not enough to just shove it on a shelf. A lot of stuff needs to be dealt with, and if I don't do it properly, I ...

Plan B goes in action from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Yep -- I have the best friends ever! I love our Virtual Monday Sewing Group! So much fun to get together, and you would think after this long that we would run out of things to talk about. Nope! However, we have ZERO tolerance for anything political, those who used to be royals, and COVID (anything related to policy). I never want to shut someone down on a call, but if I have to, I will!

Our calls are so much fun and well --- what happens at Monday Sewing stays at Monday sewing. A while back, we started a show and ...

Cherrywood Challenge exhibit from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

So if anyone tells you that things are not back to normal - they are lying! Where did all the people come from yesterday? Granted, it was a rainy Saturday afternoon, so people probably had nothing better to do. The shopping plaza parking lots were jammed. I had to zip out to get dog food. The store itself wasn't that busy, but then there were other stores in that plaza.

I went to the Costco parking lot to find a geocache. NOT a parking space to be found! I parked in the plaza beside Costco and got the cache. Then ...

A tribute to Lois from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I don't know all of you who read my blog. There are many of you that I've never met, and some friends and acquaintances have joined along the way.

Yesterday, I learned that a blog reader passed last week, and I want to acknowledge her. Lois was a wonderful lady and her and her daughter used to read my blog over breakfast. She was the most amazing hand quilter, although she did take a machine quilting class from me and did some small projects. She was in her 80's when she did that. She was in my ...

Playing is good for the soul! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Wow-what a marathon day! I'm happy to report that some writing got done - not as much as I would have liked, but enough to keep the class happy and get them started on the homework. Three of four presentations are done, and one was presented last night - I'll post the show and tell tomorrow. One more still needs a bit of work - I have until 1 PM today to get that done. WAIT - I have two presentations between now and then! Oh well - I can make it work.

I have to say that it's going to be ...

Weekly Sewing Machine Maintenance

When I get a few minutes to sew I like my machine to be ready to go, so on Sunday I try to perform weekly sewing machine maintenance. By setting a regular schedule, I don’t think about when I last changed the needle ...
